Description

Appleton-le-MoorsHillside village above a loop in the River Seven. Appleton-le-Moors is on a plateau, surrounded by farmland crisscrossed by a network of footpaths that offer easy walking.

Appleton-le-Moors' Victorian church was designed by J L Pearson, who also designed Truro Cathedral.

Located on a side road, two and a half miles north east of Kirkbymoorside. The road through Appleton-le-Moors carries on to Lastingham and Spaunton at the edge of open moorland.
