Sutton Bank

Escarpment

Description

View from Sutton BankDramatic escarpment at the south western corner of the Moors, famous for the worryingly steep road that climbs up from the plains below.

The views from Sutton Bank are often said to be the best in England, although this author would suggest that you walk the short distance south to Roulston Scar to get the full effect.

Sutton Bank now contains a National Park visitor centre.
