Rosedale Abbey in 1914

Swainby

Rosedale Abbey as shown on the 1914 OS map. As with many villages inside the National Park very little has changed since then, although the village smithy has gone. Howver on the moor to the west of the village the railway is still shown as intact, with the engine house marked at its southern end.
