The Church of St. Aidan, Gillamoor, is a simple rectangular structure in a stunning location overlooking Gillamoor's 'surprise view'.
The Church has been built right on the edge of a moorland escarpment, dropping sharply for 150 feet to the River Dove and the southern entrance to Farndale.
The church consists of a nave and chancel in the same structure, with a porch at the western end of the south wall and a bellcote at the western end. The church was rebuilt in 1802 by a single stonemason, but contains elements from an older building. Some of the furniture is also older, including a 17th century communion table and communion rails of around 1700.
